Three pillars · one home

The slow work
of a good life.

A good life rests on three things: your health, your finances, and your happiness. Everything else here — the writing, a small workshop of tools — is for tending them.

Three pillars
Health, finances, happiness. Each props up the others.

01Why these three

None of them stands alone.

We pick this frame because it's small enough to hold in your head and wide enough to hold a life. Neglect one and the other two begin to wobble. Tend all three, gently and consistently, and the rest tends to follow.

Your health shapes what you can earn and enjoy. Your finances quiet the background noise that keeps you awake. The relationships and hobbies that make you happy give the other two something to be in service of.

So we don't write about any one of them in isolation. Every piece is shelved under a pillar, but the ones worth re-reading sit at the edges, where two of them meet.

04Tools · The workshop

A few quiet utilities
for the parts that need them.

Small tools that remove enough friction from an ordinary thing to be worth making. Quiet, focused, and free to use.

“Live the questions now. Perhaps you will gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.
